When our customers came to us with their plans to upgrade their home of 30+ Windows we knew there would be plenty to discuss and explore with styles. They had a clear vision from the outset to abolish the dated and out of place current glazing, with the home having beautiful gardens surrounding the property a focus for us was to connect with this. Our customers had been living with such obstructing views from the discoloured mock Georgian bars, this was going to be such a fantastic transformation!
With there being so many windows in the property opting for a drastic bold colour did not quite feel right, so we were all on the same page to maintain a classic white. To create a modern timeless finish we opted for our flush sash casement, in particular the seamless weld which adds a perfect contemporary finish with clean lines and no fuss.
As you can imagine the planning had to be precise from the outset with developing the quotation to ensure we did not miss anything! As the quotation progressed we finalised fixtures and fittings for the windows, we actually ended up having a variation of handle colours on the windows upstairs to downstairs in keeping with the customers interior decor. For glass obscurity after a few back and forth decisions we stuck with the simple modern look having a satin finish, so pleased we opted for this as it continues the simple no fuss design.
We always ensure our sales and design team works closely with our surveyor and installation teams ensuring a smooth handover to fitting, in particular with this property it was imperative we were thinking ahead to the week of fitting. Due to the amount and many of the windows being the same size, the survey was completed with the customer and Laura from sales to specify where they would like their openers and labelled up, making it quick and easy for our fitters to install.
As a part of the properties upgrades we were also taking on the door replacements, this installation including 4 Solidors. The choice was more obvious for the Solidors replacing like for like of the current wooden doors. The couple had been suffering with drafty doors for many years and the tireless upkeep of the wood, however they loved the look. Our Rosewood finish was the ideal option, replicating their current varnished doors. We were able to offer them maximum security, energy efficiency and style with our Solidor composite doors. For the main entrance the French doors were a perfect fit again replicating the current, we opted for the modern bars to be in keeping with our modern theme we started with the windows. For the Kitchen door our customer wanted a little bit of personality and bespoke design to be apparent, so we designed a lovely lead pattern for something truly unique!
All in all our whole team and our wonderful customers are delighted with the final result, the subtle hints of modern clean lines paired with the rich tones of traditional Rosewood doors has come together perfectly. When walking around the property now, the home feels spacious and airy showing off the stunning well maintained gardens.
